The history of the TopParken Tournament goes back years, the first edition of the tournament was organized in 1993. DOVO from Veenendaal then became the winner. In 1995, vv Lunteren delivered the best presentation in history, coming 3rd behind GVVV and AS’80. From 1999 onwards, Ajax seized power by winning the tournament three times in a row, in 2000 with Vurnon Anita. Who later broke through at Ajax 1, Newcastle United and the Dutch National Team.

In 2006 the tournament had to be stopped for the first time due to extreme weather conditions. In the following years, Excelsior Maassluis, AVV Zeeburgia, ADO Den Haag (2x), FC Groningen and FC Utrecht, among others, won the title. In 2018, Hamburger SV from Germany became the first international winner of the tournament in history. In 2019, the 25th edition, the tournament was organized in 2 days for the first time. Unfortunately, the 2020 and 2021 editions had to be canceled due to COVID-19.

Fortunately, the TopParken Tournament could continue in 2022 and from now on more and more international top clubs are coming to Lunteren. In 2023, in addition to the Dutch top (Ajax, PSV and AZ), Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen, Liverpool, RB Leipzig and OSC Lille will be present. The tournament was (somewhat surprisingly – but not unfairly) won by Vitesse U14. A year later, in 2023, the entire traditional top 3 from the Netherlands was present for the first time (Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord), but also for the first time an Italian participant (AC Milan) and Paris Saint Germain also made their debut. Ajax won the tournament by beating PSG in a brilliant final.

2024
The field of participants will again be delicious in 2024, including Manchester City, Ajax, PSV, Club Brugge and Paris Saint Germain are coming to Lunteren. The tournament will take place on May 9 and 10 in Lunteren.
